Sayyid Tarik bin Taimur Cultural Complex Project
The cultural center of Muscat is the Oman Cultural Complex, a large-scale project designed
to revitalize the capital's arts, literature, and intellectual life. This center comprises three
main buildings: a large national theatre, a national library, and national archives. The
complex also includes an exhibition center, a cinema, and other cultural facilities.
• Oman National Theatre: A theatre with a main hall seating 1,000 people and a flexible hall
seating 250 people.
• Oman National Library: A five-story, 20,000 square meter library.
• Oman National Archives: A building housing approximately 20 kilometers of archive
collections, partially open to the public.
• Additional Facilities: The complex also includes an exhibition center and a cinema.
The project is located opposite Muscat International Airport and aims to preserve the
country's cultural heritage and serve as an inspiration for future generations.
